Another shot at the national title for the Orchette. Between Tuesday, August 8th, and Friday, August 11th, the Municipal Pool of Avezzano (L'Aquila) will host the U20 Women's category national finals. There are eight teams in contention, and Pallanuoto Trieste has been placed in Group 1 with Rapallo Pallanuoto, Brizz Nuoto, and Locatelli Genova; in Group 2, there are Plebiscito Padova, Bogliasco 1951, Orizzonte Catania, and Sis Roma. This is a highly competitive event. The team, coached by Isabella Riccioli and Paolo Zizza, will debut on Tuesday against Rapallo Pallanuoto (at 6:00 PM), on Wednesday at 9:00 AM, they will face Locatelli Genova, and at 5:15 PM, they will play against Brizz Nuoto. On Thursday morning, the quarter-finals will be played with matchups based on the group stage standings, and in the afternoon, the semifinals. On Friday, the finals will take place, with the league match scheduled for 12:45 PM. It's difficult to make predictions: certainly, the Sicilian teams Brizz Nuoto and Orizzonte Catania, along with Sis Roma and Bogliasco, can be considered strong contenders for the podium. The matches will be broadcast live on the Twitch channel Waterpolo Style.
"We attach great importance to these finals," explains coach Isabella Riccioli. "We're going there to make our mark. We expect challenging, demanding, and balanced matches, with many players from Serie A1. We'll try to make our way, fully aware that we can't afford any missteps. Physically, we're in good shape, the team is ready, and we can't wait to play."
