A very full week of games in Lignano Sabbiadoro, 33 little halberd athletes in the water. Mattia Mezzarobba: "The boys have grown so much."

Another edition of the HabaWaba Festival, another spectacular week. The pools at the Bella Italia & Efa Village in Lignano Sabbiadoro hosted the 2023 edition of what can be considered the world's most important tournament for Under 12 and Under 10 water polo. Pallanuoto Trieste participated with a large group of 33 young athletes (including 6 aged 7 and 8), divided into three teams led by Mattia Mezzarobba, Isabella Riccioli, Milos Jankovic, and Simone Rosai. After a series of numerous matches, Pallanuoto Trieste A finished seventh in the Silver group, Pallanuoto Trieste B closed sixth in the Rock&Pop group, while the Under 10 team achieved eighth place in the Silver group.

Results in this category only matter to a certain extent. "Absolutely positive experience," explains Mattia Mezzarobba. "The kids have grown a lot both in terms of their personalities and their game. We're at the end of the season, and everyone has shown significant improvements. A big thank you to our super fans who have always supported us."
